Add-Remove Program Icon

I have one particular project where I'm having trouple changing the icon in the Add-Remove Programs section of Applicaiotn Information.

The icon that shows is the original icon I set up for this project. I want to change it. I click the "Load Icon" button, locate the new icon, and save that. When I am returned to the Add-Remove Programs screen, the original icon still shows.

I have other projects that I've made similar changes to and it works there. Just not this one project.

Try removing the icon from the MIScode view. It is located in the suport files section and called ICON.ico. It should not make a difference which way it is removed but you never know.

Thank you. I did that, and when I returned to the Add-Remove Programs screen the icon field is blank.

I then click on the "Load Icon" button and select the icon that I want to use, and the original incorrect icon reappears. Very odd.

My workaround is that I'm creating a new setup project to get around this - and with that new setup project the correct icon shows up.

Sorry it did not work. I have had this problem before and I just needed to do that.

Did you try deleting the .lnk file itself and restoring it later? I have done that with success.
