installing payload into multiple locations?

Post by fxtech »

I am working on an installer for a Photoshop plugin.

Instead of having a fixed location to install my binaries, I'd like to offer a menu of available compatible Photoshop installations (Photoshop 7, CS1, CS2, CS3, Elements, etc - I can get the list by looking at the registry) and allow the user to check on the ones they want to install into, with an optional custom location as well.

Is there a HOWTO somewhere on how to set up something like this?

Loop and ListBox

I would create a dialog with a ListBox control. To Get the options into the ListBox, you need a variable with the options separated with $NEWLINE$'s. then you place the name of this variable into the Items property of the ListBox like $MyOptions$. In the object behaviour of the ListBox, you specify which variable will receive the user's selection.

If you need to code a loop to get the Variable content right, you may look at the updates script around the label "Form description"
