Call Dll Function Problem

Post by serk »

Hi,

I have made an multiple instance installation project. I need to load some custom dlls. The installation succeeded to load the dll on my machine. I took the project to a clean Virtual Machine with XP SP1. The Call Dll Function returned DLLLoadFailed. I took the following steps.

1) To resolve dependencies I installed VC Runtime libraries and checked with dependency walker if the dll has a dependency problem. The dll can resolve all dependencies but still the installer cant load the dll.

2) I tried SetCurrentDirectory SetDllDirectory before calling the dll in the script, but it didnt help. I looked at the current directory the dll is there. I cant find the reason why it cant load the dll.

Is there any tips that anyone can give? Does anyone have a example fo working dll code and script code on a clean operating system?

Thanks,
Serhan

Try giving the dll the whole path and you don't need to set the working directory.
