Is there a known problem with Installaware\\Microsoft OneCare
Is there a problem with the installaware update and a system running Microsoft OneCare. I have found that the new install starts and uninstalls the old version then it closes the installer when OneCare is asking for a firewall Aloow Block question.
same with mc Affee
Hi robert,
I had a similar problem with McAffee. A tester reported that McAffee intercepted downloading the web media blocks. After he accepted the installer in McAffee, the installer asked to resume or restart download. After he clicked restart, the installer froze. He had to terminate and re-run the installer.
Here is what InstallAware support said:
We are sorry, but this is not really an IA problem. Like you said, it is a problem with McAffee intercepting the downloads.

Since InstallAware does not normally exit after interrupted downloads but can resume, you need to contact these software vendors and pressure them to fix the bugs in their product.
