Is there a way to report descriptive errors for an installation run in silent mode which fails for some reason? The only thing I have so far found is "Terminate with Exit Code" which lets me exit with a numeric code, but doesn't let me print an error message which is actually useful.
I don't want to display a message box, because in silent mode there may not be a person involved to dismiss it. Is there any way to print a string to stderr?

logging
Hi alee,
I use logging in those cases:
if Variable LOGGED not Equals
Write into Text File $LOGGED$ from Value Prerequisites : $PRELIST$ (at end of file)
end
and then
<setup> /l=<path>
See "Logged execution" in the help file
