Patch issue : UpgradeCode is not a valid GUID.

I have a problem with IA8 and Patching.

I have created a version 1 setup of my product, which ran like a charm.
Now I want to create a patch and I have added the 1st version to my patch-reference list and i activate "Build Patch".

All is well so far, but suddenly building exits with the following error-description:

ERROR: UpgradedImages.Upgraded = 'UPGRADE': UpgradeCode is not a valid GUID.

No matter what I try, it just wont build the patch?
The product has been recompiled, but not re-versioned, since I had the impression that IA would handle all versioning of the product.)

So, what am I doing wrong?
(I follow the guidlines in the whitepapers supplied by IA on the website.

I really need some help on this issue, because I need to convince my boss, that we cannot use anything else than IA for distribution of our software.

Be sure the UpgradeCode property in both the old projects and the new projects are the same. You access this code in the Project Options dialog, Upgrades Product with Product Code field.

I am getting the same error and have rebuilt the install numerous times. I see product code, but no Upgrade code setting. Is it hiding in a different place?

The option is in the Project Settings and it is called 'Upgrades Product with Product Code'

I just checked and the Old and New version of the UpgradeCode is {d581e8a0-3ddb-4acf-a3aa-f84299fb9f47} and I still get the error. What should I look into next?

I figured it all out. The product code and the upgrade code need to be the same guid.
