Question on updates.ini and IIS
Question on updates.ini and IIS
How would I enable IIS 6 or IIS 7 (since we have two web servers, one running IIS6 and the other IIS7) to expose the updates.ini to allow for automatic updates? I looked through the documentation, and can't see anything obvious. I have a feeling it is simple, but for some reason I can't see it. Thank you for any help.

You need to add INI as a permitted mime type. Or, just change the URL in your project to something else than INI, and upload the INI file to that exact location - it will work. You're not stuck with INI file extensions (or 7zip for weblocks) - you can use whatever extension you like, as long as you correctly enter the URLs. IIS can be a pain to get to serve these extensions sometimes.
