Billboard display time

Post by Jupiter »

Billboards are html-files which are displayed on screen while coping the files. My problem is that the time of my installation is extremely short and my billboard only appears for half a second. Please help me insert a delay so to make the display time not less than say 5 seconds. Thank you.

You set the display time yourself in the HTML code!

How is that? Would you give details? What tags do I use?
Thank you.

Regular HTML tags including the refresh tag set to whatever interval you like and whichever next HTML page you would like to go to for the next billboard.

This tag does not extend the display time and is only usefull when the installing time is long enough which is not my case. What I need is to artificially exteeeeeeeeeeend the file coping time so as to enable the user to read the billboard. I saw such feature in CreateInstall2000 - that's why I'm asking. It seems like InstallAware does not support this feature.

Hi Jupiter,

you could call the dll function Sleep in kernel32.dll.

It worked out! Thank you, Richard.
Only the progress bar suspends while Sleep is pending
