* In a dialog with a bunch (eight or more) of object rules in the "Define Interactive Characteristics" dialog, click on the first Existing rule to populate the Add New Rule section with its values.
* Change the "To New Value" field to something recognizable, such as "asdfasdfadf."
* Click the Add button. It looks like nothing at all happened. This causes you to click the Add button again, because maybe the first one didn't take. Nothing appears to happen.
* Now scroll to the bottom of the Existing Rules list. You'll see your new rule there twice.
When you add a new rule, the existing rules list should scroll to the new rule to give some feedback that it was added.
