StaticText color ignored

I play with the Dialog designer. When I place a Label or a StaticText on my dialog form, I cannot change their background color though the Color property is available. As for the Font/Color property, it works for labels and does not for static texts.

And more: the Animate control would not animate. I created my setup using the Wizard and the Titanium theme. It has an animation which looks like small green rectangles flashing one after another indicating that some work is being done at the moment. When I run my setup the rectangles do not animate: the first one is highlighted all the time.

Help, please (version 7).

Hi. I've had the same two problems and found no resolution. I found a couple of old threads on this forum where others have reported the same problems, but no resolution was ever posted. I followed up, but unfortunately nothing came of it. Here are the pertinent threads:

Thank you, jsmith. Now I see that I'm not alone with those problems. As a solution for the animation problem, MichaelNesmith wrote:

open the "*.baggage" files found in the same folder as your dialogs and make sure that the avi file they reference does not have a path appended in front of it - just the full filename and extension.

I tried doing so to only find this unworkable.
