Installs created with InstallAware with CodeGear 2007

Hi,

Having an seemingly random issue. We have a very simple install which runs fine, however on some machines (we can find no pattern) when the installer is started it displays a message like:

This Install was created with an unregistered version of InstallAware
Do you wish to vists the InstallAware site
Yes No

Now this is the registered InstallAware downloaded from the CodeGear site (Registered area) and comes with CodeGear 2007. it most certainly should not be displaying this message as it makes us look bad.

This never appeared in testing but is appearing on about one third of client machines so far.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and what we can do to prevent it?

Update - Seems to be happening really at random. On the same machine (clean test box) it happened on the 7th time, 9th time, 13th, 17, then didnt happen in the next 12 attaempts...

Excat screenshot of what is appearing is attached...

ANY help would be most welcome as obviously we are suspending our roll out to switch to another install product as we cannot have these messages appear even to a fraction of our client base...

This is indeed designed to appear at random. It will occur when you are using an unlicensed version of the product. Make sure you're installing InstallAware Express CodeGear edition AFTER you have finished installing your CodeGear product, and rebuild your setups.

Thanks for the info - at least I know its not an issue on the machines or with the install I created...

I downloaded the file from the Registered section of CodeGear and am told it is registered - is there any way to verify this? The Help - About Shows "CodeGear Special Edition" at the bottom.

This was installed some months after CodeGear was installed. Will perfroming a reinstall of InstallAware Express CodeGear Edition resolve this and is there ANY way to be sure this will not appear - we have spent quite some time testing it and only saw it a few times. As its random I would like to know some way to be sure it is not going to appear?
