Hi,
I am using InstallAware Express 8, and previously signed my code using the certificate and private key. Now I have a new certificate that does not use the cert and private key method, therefore I cannot using the signing option in Installaware (unless I am missing something). So I signed the exe I create with the signtool signwizard tool.
This tell me it has signed the exe OK, and I can verify it. However when I download the exe to install on Vista it tells me it is not signed.
Do I need to sign some other stuff than the main exe that is created? Or can I use a certificate from the certificate store in my Install Aware project?
Regards,
Mike Read

InstallAware signs both the internal setup.exe file and the external setup.exe self-extraction wrapper, so you will need to manually sign both, but that might be difficult.
You should make sure your certificates are in the format InstallAware needs them.
