Download File hangs on cancel

Hello,

I've been trying to wrestle with an issue of trying to cancel an install while the Download File command is running.

My setup first installs all the files, as an install normally would. After Apply Patch, the installer commences downloading several files from the web using Download File...

The problem is if I debug the project then canceling works. When I run it standalone it hangs.

Is this a known problem with IA? I've searched the forums and it seems like other Plug-ins also misbehave with cancel, but nothing specific to DownloadFile.

Some more information:

Using IA Studio Admin 8.0.1
Tried it on an XP VM and a real Vista x64 machine. Fails on both.

FYI: It seems like we've come up with a solution. It appears that displaying the progress dialog fixes this issue.

Note, we already had the progress dialog up an visible, we just needed to display it again. You may want to change the documentation from:

"it is recommended you use the Display Dialog command"

to

"it is mandatory"
