Features installed by sub-installers, space required?

Post by keith »

OK,

[IA 6.5 on Win7 x64]

I have a main installer whose features are installed by sub-installers added as Creatives. On the whole this works pretty good. However, when selecting what features to install the "Space Required" information is blank, zero, or a garbled string (which I think is a separate bug...).

Is there any way to properly compute and display the space required for a feature when it is installed in this manner?

If not, is there a way to inject a static value for each feature into the component tree dialog so at least there is a ballpark figure there?

Wow, a three year old setup compiler, running on a not-yet-released operating system :) You're traveling on extremes there :D

Use Set Component Space. Of course, I don't know if that is available with your old version, honestly...

Ha! I like to think of it as preparing for the future ;-) I'm trying to get the boss to spring for an upgrade but you know how it is.

Anyway, Set Component Space is available in IA 6.5. Where is the best place to use it? After Define Component?
