Apply Install
Run Program $SFXPATH$\\setup.exe AUTO (WAIT)
Run Program $SFXPATH$\\setup2.exe
Terminate Installation
Above is my IA script. When I build and run it I get error code 2728. When I run the setup.exe AUTO and setup2.exe separately I DO NOT get the error code. I run the setup.exe AUTO from a shortcut setup with the AUTO parameter for testing this.
Again, both setups run without error but the above script gives me error 2728. What is happening with IA that makes it work differently with "Run Program As" than if I execute a program manually?
Thanks!

Very unlikely that the Run Program (As) errors are related to the error you're getting. The error you're reporting is returned by Apply Install and is a Windows Installer internal error. I would log the setup and research the error code under MSDN documentation for Windows Installer for troubleshooting.

I used to get the error quite frequently in IS. It was usually because I had taco'ed the custom actions or had somethng missing in one of the MSI tables. It was a pain to fix. However, having said that, IA protects you from such malicious damage by default.
