Installation forbidden by system policy

Post by CF900 »

Hello,

A client of my company is getting an error that reads: "This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system Administrator. Please check your settings and try again." when trying to install our software using an installer that I built with the InstallAware software. The installer is not doing anything that I would consider our of the ordinary and I never experienced such and error while testing the installation process. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what could be causing this error?

Nice question. I'm having the same error message here, except that instead of a "Please check your settings and try again" I'm getting a "Please review your installation commands". What could that be? Could any of the IA purple commands I'm using have caused that?

Please, help me! :(

That was happening because I was trying to debug my MSICode under Windows 7 UAC. Just opened IA with admin rights and everything worked just fine.
