Installation continues while waiting for cancel confirmation

Hello IA community.
I have read this discussion http://www.installaware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=473 and I was wondering if InstallAware 8 version has an option to modify this default behavior.
I want the installation (and uninstallation) process to stop while the user is presented with the “Are you sure you want to cancel” dialog. This would be a normal behavior for any install process. It seems that only IA has this unnatural behavior.

This behavior is by design, the background installation thread is not paused when a cancel dialog is being shown. Unfortunately, there is not currently a "pause installation" option.
