Hello everybody,
usually after I get the translated files back, I start up InstallAware, go to design tab, and import the translation files.
Now if the translator doesn't tell me that he changed something or if I forget to import, the new translations might be missing in the next release.
That's why we would like to automate the import step.
The files (languages) are always the same, so I wonder if it's save to just copy the new translation files into the project folder.
Does InstallAware perform some validations upon importing?
This might be important, as some of our translators don't use the translation tool provided, but a raw text editor instead. So, the risk of files that are not in sync exists.
Back to my question: Is there suggested procedure to automatically import translations, or is it safe to just copy the new files into the project folder?
Rgds

I would do a DIFF on files in your project folder AFTER an import and BEFORE an import. You can probably figure out file name/extension changes and such, but if file content remains the same, then yes it should be safe.
