Uninstall Icon the same as Program Icon

I have InstallAware Studio 9 and no matter what I do, my uninstall icon always shows up as the program icon.
* After redoing the setup, sometimes both icons will be the uninstall icon *

- I have copied my icons into my install project folder and specified which icon to show in the shortcuts.

- When I create a brand new setup and specify the project location as my documents, my custom icons work perfect. When I instead specify c:\\projects\\installs the icons are not custom.

This seems like a big bug too me.

What am I missing?

You can think of it that it's weird, but can you type the whole PATH to your icon files?

from drive letter till the icon file itself.
for example: C:\\Folder1\\subfolder2\\....\\icon.ico

I know the problem that still exist with long path to icon files. Even this bug was fixed a couple of IA patches ago, the problem still resides (just don't have time to provide the example).

I can type the whole path to the icon file path. There are some spaces in the folder names, but I doubt that is causing a problem

Got it to work.

Here is what I did. I only set the icon for the uninstall and let InstallAware use the icon of the exe. (This happens to be the same icon I want to use for the installer) I then went to Add-Remove Programs and clicked Load Icon and selected my Install Icon.

For some reason choosing an icon for the program and uninstall messes up InstallAware for me.

I have version 9 as well and this is happening to me. The wrong icon is being used for most (but not all) of the shortcuts i create. I cant use the 'exe' icon so i need to specify one. Is there a work around for this issue?

What OS are you testing on?

What icon is used when it's wrong?
