I have an issue where we have 5 install projects, all very similar, except they install different products. One of them for some reason, when built can be run and installed successfully on all platforms (XP, 2003, 2008, Windows 7) except Vista. We have tested SP1, and SP2.
The wierdest thing is when we change the product version number to 99.99.99.99 it works. If you run in debug on the same environment it works fine though.
I sent a shell of an install to support, because the only message they would give from the install was "ERROR", which installed nothing, but still caused the error and if you changed the product version to 99.99.99.99 it worked. I spent 2 DAYS trying to nut this out, but they say, due to our policy we cannot even look at the project. They don't say this is what I suggest, NOTHING, just close the issue. Try calling, but hey I am from OZ so that doesn't work.
Installaware are happy for us to pay, but not to support us when an issue come up.
Let them figure it out themselves. Great.
Would love someone to help.

Please read the support policy page here:
http://www.installaware.com/support-service-options.htm
It describes what we can, and can NOT do for you.
Remember: We do NOT sell the setup debugging/development services, or the product training. We DO sell the setup compiler. Just as you wouldn't expect a response from Microsoft when you tell them "hey, my C# program is not working on so-and-so a setup", you cannot expect a response from us either when your support requests are not within the guidelines above.
