Custom Dialog: Clicking back yields WIZARD = NEXT...

Post by Cybrosys »

Hi all,

i did search the forum regarding this and found an old post frmo 2008 that never got resolved.

I have taken the Destination dialog from the Theme "Titanium" and saved it as a new dialog. I have added this dialog into the sequence and changed the MSIcode so that when WIZARD is BACK it goes to the correct dialog and such. I have even verified the Dialog so that the Back button has the property "Previous Dialog", I mean, it is a copy of the Destination dialog with a few changes to which variable is used as the source of the Directory Tree and Text Box.

Basically, when i reach my custom dialog and click the Back button directly, the WIZARD variable gets set to NEXT. If i click in the Text Box and then no the BACK button the WIZARD gets set to BACK.

This behaviour does not exist in the original Destination dialog and there is nothing wrong with the MSIcode, the WIZARD variable gets set to NEXT when i click the Back button as if the Next button's Client rectangle or clicking area overlapps the Back button's untill i click in the tree or the text box first. I have even moved the Back button away from the Next button just to test but no change was present in the behaviour.

Figured it out, it was quite simple realy and very annoying. I forgot to set the result output of the method show dialog to the variable WIZARD since i thought that was done automatically.
