Setting password visibility...

Post by serina »

Hi all,

The password text box in my installation setup is being visible...means whenever user enter their password during the installation process, their password are not being protected and it can be viewed directly....whereas the actually procedure should be invisible (in the sense that it should be protected and authenticated - hope you u get what I mean here)....

Therefore, I would like to know how is it possible for me to hide the password such as whenever user key-in their password, their password will be in an asterisk/ star form.....Urgently need a feedback..

Thanks a lot!!!

Regards,
Serina

Hi Serina.

There's a property called PasswordChar in the properties list of the Edit box. Enter a character, e.g. an asterisk, to enable the password function of the Edit box.

Best regards.
