I have converted a single file setup to an msi file.
The single file setup was signed with a certificate using IA's built-in tool.
The MSI file was signed with finalbuilder.
The MSI file and the original .exe have valid certificates.
However, when running the MSI file, Vista pops up two UAC dialogs. The first one is looking good with the signature information.
The second UAC dialog is shown in "ugly style" because something is not signed.
When clicking "Details" in that popup, it says "Update 2.0 InstallAware Software Corporation". (The 2.0 may be because that is the version of my app).
How do I fix this popup, or even better: How do I remove this second popup completely? - Windows already displays a UAC prompt when running the MSI file. Something is launched from that MSI file which triggers the second popup.
MSI UAC popup with no digital signature
I have tried signing it now with the IA signing tool and it works.
Right now, I can't make it fail when using Finalbuilder's tool either.
It was probably a user error, then. Sorry.
There are still two popups, though. One while the MSI package is initializing, and one when it runs the installer.
Is it possible to make the second one go away?

If you compress the exe file into a password protected zip file, and send it to me at [email protected] Note that you need to password project the zip, otherwise it will be blocked

Hi Neillans,

thanks,
