Uninstall requires Install media

If I copy my uncompressed install files to the desktop and install from there, then I can delete them after installation, and my uninstall works fine.

However, if I install my product from a CD or DVD, then that CD or DVD must be in the computer in order for it to uninstall. Otherwise, when I attempt to uninstall from "Add and Remove Programs", I get an error box saying:

" 'mFileBagIDE.dll' is not a valid short file name "

Can someone please help me solve this problem?

I do use several file bags in my install.

it says that it can't find the install program. Shouldn't this get copied to the regular uninstall area automatically?

It seems to me that it should. If I install from the desktop it must be copying it, why does it not do it fro DVD?

Where is the regular uninstall area? Can I look to see what is there?
