Upgrade of DLL failes

Post by Zero-G. »

Hey
I use InstallAware 9. I am really a newbie with Install Shield...
So, I have created a Installation routine from a compiled VB.NET programm.
In the "files" wizzard, I added all dll files, I found in the BIN folder of my VB.NET project.
Also, I added all DLL's to the "Assemblies" wizzard. Then packed it and gave it to a user. - He installed everything and the installation worked fine.
But, there was a problem in my project.
So, I updated my VB.NET project and there was an update of the DLL's as well. - So, I imported the new versions of the DLL in my project, rebuild it and tried it on my home PC - worked fine.
I opend the InstallShield project, deleted the DLL's from the "files" & "assemblies" wizzard & reimported them (the new versions).
I packed it again and gave it to the user.

The user uninstalled the first project & installed the new version. - Since this moment, my project does not run anymore on the users PC, because, he tells me, that the Assembly to the DLL isn't correct anymore!?

Any kind of help?
