Hello all,
I´ve got a pc with a windows 7 64bit operating system. I installed the latest version of IA, but I got unsolvable problems with the displaying of IA. When changing the window size, or minimize/maximize the application, the program is displayed in a very "freaky" way. (but always different!!)
I enabled/disabled Aero, I chose all possible Designs, deactivated the "transparency"-option, but nothing helped.
Is this a problem of IA? If not, how to solve it?
I attached a screenshot of one of the freaky looks, IA got.

I wanted to say that I can reproduce this problem as described. I'm running Windows 7 64bit on a Dell Precision T5500. The video card is a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295.
I can get a similar problem switching from Design to MSIcode and back to Design.

Nice to hear that I´m not the only one with this problem.
By the way, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit on the same pc and tested IA. And here it worked fine, without any problems, so it is definitely no hardware problem.
Either its a a problem of the 64bit OS itself, or with IA handling this system.
Any advise?

Thanks for your reply.
Did you take a look on the screenshot I posted?
As you can see, there is no chance to add a file, because of a missing button. And no matter how often I will try to change the size of the application, this button won´t appear again.
Unfourtunately, I have to minimize the application at least once while creating a project. But after resizing it, there is no way to continue working.
Well, it is a question of definiton, but I think: as long as the application does not work properly, it does not really "run" and can not simply be swept aside.

I have this problem on Windows XP x64 (my previous build machine), and have it on my current Windows 7 64bit box. On each box, I had/have latest (sometimes even trying beta) drivers hoping to get it to go away.
It's more of an annoyance than anything, as I've figured out ways to work around it for now. As a side note, SQL Management Studio has display issues that are very similar on Windows 7 that I didn't have on XP x64. Part of me things it's a 64 bit specific problem more than anything.
