Good day,
I have created an installer for one of our products but I am having some problems getting it to work as we wish. A fresh install is no problem, and uninstalling is no problem either.
But since it always jumps to MAINTENANCE = TRUE when the program is already installed, it doesn't behave the way we want.
We want it to completely ignore that it is already installed, regardless of revision (same as installed or new) and just install itself over the old installation or as a separate install in another folder.
I have been unable to achieve this so far, and the closest I got also broke the uninstaller (following the startmenu link starts an installation).
I am grateful for any ideas or pointers.
Need some help with MAINTENANCE

What you want is impossible in the Windows Installer world, unless you use what are called instance transforms.
In the good InstallAware tradition, these are very easy to implement using the Transform Instance script command.
