I added two merge modules to my IA9 setup from MS to install Sync Framework on the target machine along with my application. The merge modules can be downloaded here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 7d9cea37f6.
I added two merge MSI files to my IA9 project via Merge Module feature: Synchronization-v2.0-x86-ENU.msi and DatabaseProviders-v3.0-x86-ENU.msi. They are displayed in sorted order, and I'm not sure how IA9 decides to run them (I don't see it in the script).
When I run the setup, I get the following error during installation:
Error Source file not found: c:\\...\\data\\Microsoft.Synchronization.dll. Verify this file exists and that you can access it.
This is the file from Synchronization-v2.0-x86.enu.msi. Anyone can think of how I can resolve this problem? The documentation made it sound simple for adding merge modules to any setup - not much detail other than adding them to a project.
Error when using Merge Module features in my IA9 setup...
Re: Error when using Merge Module features in my IA9 setup..
Update: I've installed the merge files listed in my previous post on target machines without error - so the problem isn't with the merge files themselves. I've also tried renaming one of the merge files to change the installation order but I still get the exact same error. I've also tried logging the installation as described in the InstallAware help but it hangs the installation and I have to use task manager to kill it.
Any suggestions? Anyone?
