We need to have possibility to install two versions of our software side by side. So we have two IA scripts that are similar but have different Names (the software title included the version number), Product and Revision IDs and I guessed that in theory it was enough, but we've got an unexpected problem. For example, when we install version 1.0 and then version 1.1 everything works fine, but if we install version 1.1 and then try to install 1.0 after "Validating installer scripts" appears an empty message box with only one word: "Error". The installers are not complicated - there are no manual changes to msi script - everything is generated automatically by designer and it has only few .net runtimes and a couple of external merged modules (.msm).
We had this problem with IA8 and recently upgraded to IA9, but the problem remained.

Do I understand you correctly that you want the ability to install your product multiple times?
If so, then you should look into Transform Instance (it's fairly well documented in the Help file).
