Hi there, I have almost completed my first IA setup package. I just need to insert some values in a SQL Server table.
Problem is, I already have a connection string suitable to open a connection to the server, so I cannot use the default MS SQL Server plugin, which expects server name, database name and credentials as separate fields.
Is there an easy way to use a connection string for this task?
Thanks

Re: Database connection
No answer?
I currently have wrapped the SQL code within a VBScript that opens the connection based on the connection string, but this solution is a "hack". Why use this when IA offers SQL support out-of-the-box?

Re: Database connection
Couldn't you get the necessary fields from the connection string and put them in separate variables which you could then use in IA's built-in SQL functions?
Re: Database connection
This could be a good idea, but how can you do that?
IA string parsing does not seem suitable for this, and if I use a VBScript I cannot see an easy way to pass back the values to IA.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
