Hi,
I am evaluating IA9 - currently using IA7. Some of the projects build fine, but with one project I get an Access Violation at the beginning of the build. This happens in both UI and command line (miabuild).
The message is:
Error during build: Access violation at address 00000000. Write of address 00000000
What do you recommend to do to find the cause of the problem?
Thanks
Andrej

Where can I check to find the line number where it fails?
The output of the build progress is as follows:
ProjectName, PathToOutputFolder, ListOfAllCompilerVariables show the infromation of the real project.
Thanks
Andrej

It would seem you haven't installed a necessary plug-in that is used by your project.

Re: Upgrade from IA7 to IA9 - Access violation when building
Hello,
I managed to find out, what action is causing problem. It is check for .NET framework. But it seems that it has nothing to do with my project - here is how I can reproduce the crash:
- Open IA9
- Create new blank project
- Try to use ".NET Framework" Plug-in (drag & drop to MSI Window)
- I get "Accessviolation at address 00000000. Write of address 00000000."
I am using Windows Server 2008 (not R2), 64 bit.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
Thanks
Andrej.

The plug-in does not appear to be installed. However, fact that it is still available as a plug-in means something in your registry has gotten corrupted.

Hello,
Uninstalling IA9 and installing it again from scratch helped.
Previous installation was performed as an upgrade to IA7. Maybe this was the reason for problems. Anyway, problem solved now, thank you.
