Hi,
i've got a problem with my installation.
On Certain systems (my Windows Server 2008 x64 Workstation, my private Windows Vista x32 Notebook) the setup works pretty fine and application is anstalled correct.
But on other Systems (Windows 7 x64, Windows Vista x32 - all systems of my colleague) i get an error (see Picture).
Eventlog-Entries:
1. EventID 1013
2. EventID 11708 (Product: Mira -- Installation failed.)
3. EventID 1033 (Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Mira. Product Version: 0.2.0.1221. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: xxx. Installation success or error status: 1603.)
We used the setup script, etc. for an other software were no installation problems exist.
I've copied all files from the installation-script-folder to an new destination and modified the setup a little bit (new Product Name, new Product Code, etc.)
Does anyone can help me please?
Thomas

Re: Installation Problem - Error Message
Little Update:
When I have the other software (from which I used the setup for our new product) installed i get this error message. When it isn't installed, the setup runes fine.
I've changed the Product Code, the Revision Code, Product Name, Install-Path, etc.
Most of the files, which should be installed, are the same. Only the executable, a config file and a few assemblies are different.
What could cause the Problem?

Make sure the upgrade codes are unique between your setups.
