My apology if this has been asked before. I did search the forum on the topic before posting my question here.
I am a newbie to InstallAware. I am trying to build my first installer using installAware. And I need to build a hybrid 64/32 bit setup package. If I use "Set 64 bit mode" MSIcode, the folder location such as COMMONFILES are changed to x64 specific, so all my 32-bit files also got installed into the 64-bit COMMONFILES (which is /Program Files/Common Files/, but they need to go into /Program Files (x86)/Common Files/).
Thanks,
Kevin
How to build a hybrid 64/32 bit setup package?
Re: How to build a hybrid 64/32 bit setup package?
In the case you're describing, your application will actually be a 32-bit application being installed in a 64-bit environment (hence the desire to install into x86 program files). Try running your setup without 64-bit mode being applied and you should find things installing in the proper location.

Re: How to build a hybrid 64/32 bit setup package?
Thank you for your reply.
Actually, my application contains both 32-bit and 64-bit components. Today, it has two separate MSI files. What I want is to use installAware to build just one MSI file that will install the applications taking into account of the target machine's architecture.
I will go through the white papers and learn how to use MSIcode to do this.
