Installation problems

I'm trying to reinstall InstallAware 8 on my computer but the installation fails.

I run the InstallAware_8.exe (version 8.1.800.2008). Select the edition (Studio), select features (Full) and start the installation. The installation failes after a couple of seconds with message "Extraction of installation data downloaded from the web has failed".

I'm using Windows 7 Professional (NL).

How can I solve this problem.

It sounds like you're running a web install and we may not be hosting the web media blocks that version 8 refers to now...

You could perhaps try installing this version from downloads.com:
http://download.cnet.com/InstallAware-D ... 86398.html

I'm indeed using the web install. That's the file I got when I purchased the product.

The link you send did not help. On the CNET website I could only downdload a version 9 file.

Please make the version 8 download available from your own site.

Unfortunately, we do not retain copies of old versions. It is your responsibility, as is clearly indicated when you first register:

IMPORTANT! Always backup your trial version installer, as well as your activation file, in a safe location. InstallAware does not keep old version trial downloads or activation files; therefore once your Customer Account expires, you will not be able to re-install your product unless you have previously made backups
