Changes to registry affecting other Projects?
I have two similar setups for similar products. I created the first project and then did a "save as" under a different name to create the second project. I then went and edited all of the needed data and dialogs for the second project. My problem is that when I edit the Registry entries for Project B it duplicates my changes in Project A. It also does this in reverse when editing Project A. I do not want Project A to install all of Project B's entries. How do I prevent this?
Re: Changes to registry affecting other Projects?
In my case it helped to save the script file in the MSI VIew tab to the desired location (right click on the script file and save it as), because otherwise it will stay the previous saved location. Even if you copy your whole project folder to a new location and open it from the new location then the scipt file $TITLE$.mia.txt is still saved under the old location. I run in this problem, too because in the past I did it the same way with another install tool (the name will be common to most of you
) and this tool could handle it.
Would be a nice feature in my opinion, cause often I make derivates of a setup (template).

Thank you, that solved the problem. I cannot believe that it does not do that automatically.
