Custom icon causes error: %1 is no valid Win32-Application

Post by Windozer »

Hello all,

I got a big problem with InstallAware and Google showed no results about it.
Everytime I add a custom icon (no matter if extracted from an .exe or downloaded off a website) I get "%1 is not a valid Win32-Application" as soon as I run the produced setup.exe. Same thing with InstallAware 8 and 9. I tried it on many projects and it never works with a custom icon, although your software documentation says, that almost every icon file should work. Would be glad if someome could help me on that, it's really annoying. :)

It's probably too late, but are you still seeing this problem? Or did you find a solution?
