Specifying EULA location at compile time

Post by NickDay »

By following suggestions I found on this forum, I've been able to specify the path to my EULA, e.g. license.txt. However this was picked up at runtime. I would like to be able to specify a path to a text file, and for this text to be built into my installer. Is this possible, please?

My reason for wanting this is that my installer needs to pick up a license file for a particular OEM. This is placed in a known location by a DOS script, before my installer is built.

Thanks for any help. If there's no way to do this, I could still modify the DOS script to copy the license into my installer project directory, but it would be preferable to avoid this.

For what you're describing, it's not going to be exactly possible.

Your best bet will be to copy the file over to your project folder.

You can build your project from command line using miabuild.exe, so you might want to consider executing that from your DOS script as well.

Many thanks Andy, I'll have to copy the file in, then. Thanks also for the miabuild tip -- I'm already using that, successfully.
