I don't think there's been any definitive resolution to this.

Some things that would help determine the cause:

Ideally, you could post a simple setup that produces the error. I can run that and see if I can't reproduce it.

I apologize if I missed it (this was a hard thread to follow), but it doesn't sound like it's been clearly defined whether Run Program As produces this error also. Is it isolated to Run Program or is Run Program As afflicted as well?

Knowing what commands are being run could be helpful.

Also, posting the result of the Run Program (either log it [write to file] or show a messagebox.) could be helpful.

The more information you can provide, the better. We just don't have a whole lot to work with at the moment...

Hi mills,

Thanks for the info. I immediately attempted to get the error again by installing on my Win7 64-bit VM and writing to a log file. This time, no error...

However, this was after making 1 specific change. My previous package did not have a Run Program command setup in it. So effectively if the user ticked Run Program Now, it did nothing. So I added in a Run Program command and that seems to have 'fixed' it.

I get the same problem..."always" intermittent.
