Where can I see the details of the version number

Post by dunion »

you mention "9.08 or 9.09"
When I look up 'version' I see 'Installaware 9 (build Moya.sp1.070409). I'm trying to run on Window 7, having some issues.
I can't find anything that looks like this version number.

I'm not sure where the 9.08 or 9.09 comes from.

The latest available is InstallAware 9 R2 (Build Moya.sp3.070910)

Are you using 64 or 32 bit Win 7?

What issue(s)?

I am using win7 x64.
There are some UI issues as well as more issues with merge modules again, I think this may be a result of some MS updates that are overriding your install, possibly something related to the windows installer stuff - last time i had this I uninstalled and re-installed the then current version and it seemed to get better.

I was told to keep the current version that I have rather than update to latest in case the update breaks something in the existing install or requires changes; note I do have to modify some of the setup scripts manually because even though the install is set to x64 some of the component checks automatically set the install *back* to x86 even if it wasn't at the end.

We still have other bugs like animations don't work etc. with the current version but at present they are 'known bugs' and people are ont so comfortable with any risk associated with version change unless it's necessary

Signing is also having trouble

Post by dunion »

Reinstalled, got past the merge module issue but having problems with the authenticode signing now. I believe the updating to Win7 is the key to all the issues I'm seeing in some way. I have installed the certificate on my local machine again. I also see some graphics/ui problems with the bar on the top, you can't see the icons to minimize, etc., and sometimes it's color changes when you minimize/restore it using the menu/task bar or hotkeys, sometimes minimize/restore doesn't seem to work right at all, I've seen a few other minor issues.

FYI my question on version came from reading one of the support responses

I see, that must have been the versioning system at the time. I'm going to address the Authenticode issue over in this post:
