File not deleted during uninstall

Post by kkchan »

Hi
I have issue that a file just not been deleted during uninstall. after some investigation, we found that the file is being edited by end user before uninstall.

May I know why does it so? Anyway to force delete?

Thank you

Is the file being renamed? Just an edit shouldn't prevent it from being uninstalled.

You can use delete files, but it must precede Apply Install.

If you want all the files in a directory to be removed, you can use Delete Files Recursive, which should apply immediately without an Apply Install.

Hi, the name is the same. Just donno why the file not deleted during uninstallation. When we reinstall it, we found that the file modified date is previous one.

Have you noticed this with any consistency? Can you reproduce it?
