Hi,
Is there a way to distinguish whether the installer has been launched from the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs applet or from another place (the source CD, for instance)? I would like to detect that in order to allow or disable some repair/reinstall functionality...

You can check the value of EXEDIR.
If the exe is in the temp/cached location, then it's being run from ARP.
If the exe is in the temp/cached location, then it's being run from ARP.
