How to set a checkbox to invisible depend on a buildtype

Post by AKNG »

Hello,

I have a checkbox in the finish dialog to open the readme document at the end if it was checked. But I want to hide it depends on a build type. For example, for a pro version, the checkbox to open readme is visible. But in a demo version, I want to hide it since this version did not contains any documentation. I just can't find a way to set the property Visible of that checkbox to false.

Can someone show me how to change the property of the check box inside of the script depending on the buildtype? For example, something like

[compiler if Variable BUILDTYPE Equals Trial ]
// Set Readme.Visible = False
[compiler else]
//Set Readme.Visible = True
[compiler end]

Please help!
Thank you so much

As a quick offering, add an invisible label called, say, MYX to the dialog and set it's caption property to say, $X$ where X contains the status you want to check. Double-click some control on the checkbox and select the object rules tab. Add a rule that sets the checkbox visible property to false if MYX.Caption's value is the one you want to hide it for. Something like that.

Thank you so much the trick works well ;-)

But I still hope that IA allow us to have more controls on object properties soon.

Thank you again

Glad to have helped. Some more properties on other controls would be nice and would minimise the need to do jiggery-pokery and other magic tricks! :D
