MSXML 4.2 Chinese

Hi

We have made the installation of our software and we included the Microsoft XML Parser 4.2 redistributable with it, but when we run our installation on a Chinese Traditional windows, it gives an error, saying that msxmlcht.exe was not found, and the installation only proceed if we install MS XML 4.2 Parser Chinese Traditional version.

I didn´t even know that there were different versions... How will we solve this problem??? Any ideias???

How exactly are you including the MSXML redistributable? Are you checking it in the Application Runtimes design view?

Yes, by checking the runtime packages on wizard. But I checked it just to include the script, because then I move the call to the script somewhere else on the installation because of some conditionals, but essentially I´m using the setupmsxml42 script provided by installaware

In other computers the installation goes just fine, computers with English, Portuguese, Spanish windows... We just noticed this problem on Chinese Traditional windows. Our customer had to install msxmlcht.exe file manually before he could install our product

Have you tried running a stand-alone msxml42 executable on a Chinese Windows? Does that succeed? If it fails, please attach the error you are receiving.
