Print License Agreement EULA

Post by joakes »

I modified the licensecheck dialog to include a button with a name of Print. On the click event it returns from dialog.

Per the CD Auto Run demo, I checked for the CHOICE variable but upon compile it tells me the variable doesn't exist.
I switched the variable to be WIZARD since thats what the msi code is using for the BACK and CANCEL buttons.

Now it compiles but there are two problems:

#1 When I click the PRINT button, it does nothing with regards to printing.
#2 Even though the I Accept button is not checked, it moves me to the User Registration dialog next.

Something wrong with my code?

Code: Select all

Display Dialog: licensecheck, wait for dialog to return (modal)
if Variable WIZARD Equals Print
  Run Program wordpad.exe /p $SUPPORTDIR$\\license.rtf
  GoTo Label: License Check
end
if Variable WIZARD Equals BACK
  GoTo Label: Welcome Dialog
  else
  if Variable WIZARD Equals CANCEL
    GoTo Label: Main Install
  end
end
Thanks!

I tried adding a button to the same dialog. Did you check the WIZARD variable for uppercase PRINT and not Print? If you add a message box after the dialog you'll see what you should be checking for.

I have not tried that yet but it did cross my mind. However the Back and Cancel button are printed as Back or Cancel but the code checks for BACK or CANCEL so I assumed it would not be an issue.

Thanks!

I think IA returns the actual name of the button. I gave my test button the name Print and I set the caption of the button to Pwint. It returned PRINT and not PWINT. :)

Thanks! I'll give it a go and see if that fixes it.

Happy Holidays!
