The attached screencap shows an example folder I'm testing my installer on. I have about 200 of them in total I want to install. Now, there are some files and subfolders I don't want to install. For example, in the screencap I've marked with an X the items I don't want to install. As you can see I don't want to include some files and for the most part the standard VS produced bin and obj folders which in turn may have subfolders inside them. But, I do want to include the Properties folders for example. I tried adding wildcards to exclude them but they still get created.
Is there a simple way I can do this in the IDE without having to go through all 200 VS.Net projects and cherry pick the files and folders I only require?

Dear Peter,
How are you installing these files exactly?

Hi Aviv. I've attached another screencap showing what I've tried so far. I've never had a need to be selective about the folders I use before so this is the first time I'm looking into it.

Re: Can I eliminate folders from an installation.
Aviv,
I think I've partly answered my question once I appreciated the syntax in the MSIcode of the Install Files statement. That got me thinking that perhaps the best way is for me to write a .Net program that recursively processes all the files and folders in my source folders. I can then do the wildcard checks for files and subfolders I don't want. Those that remain I can copy to another location and then have that location as the source of my Install Files. That would certainly work providing I remember to repopulate the (temporary) source folders before I rebuild my setup. On paper that should work.
If you come up with another alternative I'll be glad to hear about it.
