Silent Install fails After Upgrading/activating to IA 10.10

Post by alibaba »

Hi,

until yesterday I used IA 10.0 and everything works fine. Yestarday I installed the 10.10 version of IA and generated a new activation exe and activated my IA. Today I took notice that none of my installations is now able to run in silent mode, it alsways terminates short after start. It is the same for all my installations!

I built the installation on an other computer with IA9 R2 and it workes fine.

I repaired my IA 10.10 installation and built setups with the trial version and everything works fine.

I reactivated my IA (10.10) with a 10.10 activate exe and all setups run in silent mode fail.

I reactivated my IA (10.10) with a 10.0 activate exe and all works fine again.

Please help :!:

I think this problem is also related to the previous post "Unable to get assembly information...".

What can I do now?

Is it possible to work with an installed 10.10 that is activated with an 10.0 license?

EDIT: no it is not cause then I get the error: "Unable to get assembly information..." for projects that use .net assemblies
...
now I am totally stucked in my work.
Is it possible to download version 10 again, everything worked great in this version for me.

I am experiencing the same problem (but going from InstallAware 8 to InstallAware 10.10) -- Is there any work-around?

Thanks,
Deb

Hello,

This bug has been fixed. You can go ahead and re-generate your license, and re-install it to fix the bug.

NOTE: This bug isn't effecting the trial version.

Thank you.
