Dialog Stretching with Window font size as Medium

Post by amonteiro3 »

I've been using a bitmap as a background for my dialogs. This has worked great until my boss got himself a new computer. He's running Windows 7 with a Medium font setting, so everything is 125% larger.

The dialogs in the installer re-adjust sizewise, but the background bitmap image isn't. I've tried setting Stretch, Proportional and AlignWithmargins to True, but the bitmap isn't resizing.

Is there a setting to change that will cause the bitmap to grow with the dialog? Or do I need a combination of the above properties?

Then again, the bitmap may not even look all that great stretched, in which case I'll have to rethink my background.

Thanks for any advice.

Dear Andy,

I am not sure what you are trying to do is possible. Windows automatically stretches the dialog, but not the bitmap..

i've fixed the problem by simplifying my background and taking most of the stuff that was in the bitmap out and creating graphic dialog elements.

its a shame I can't have a big backdrop image behind my install dialogs, but I'll live with the simpler look.

Thanks,
