Write Registry on Uninstallation

Hi,

Does anybody know if you can use Write Registry on an uninstallation, as having tried this the registry entry has not been written with the value expected. We need to revert the registry value back to the default value. We use the same command on install and it works fine?

Ok I have got around this issue for now, and use REG.EXE instead and that works ok for what we need as this point.

Dear Steve,

You should definitely be able to write registry on uninstallation. Make sure that you either turn on the Native Engine or that you call Apply Changes after writing to the registry.

Anyhow, it is not recommended to call 3rd party executables in InstallAware, but it will certainly work.
