Hello,
We are trying to run our setup-build inside our daily teambuild (msbuild) via commandline build on a Windows XP build server.
Installaware is finishing with no errors and "Build completed successfully" , but i seems like the build process stops before compression.
the setupfiles are packed and available in installawares folder structure while buildingbut
#### BuildLog Output:
.....
Injected runtime files
Compressed setup files
Prepared SFX data
Created SFX file
Cleaned up
Build completed successfully
Done executing task "Exec".
####
the resulting output-executeable is only about 225kb (140mb expected).
Uncompressesd setup isnt worink either.
Are there any known issues with that?
Greetings
Florian

Re: Team Foundation Server - Setup Build
Dear Florian,
Could you describe the steps you are taking to compile the project?
Does it work when you compile it in the IDE?

Re: Team Foundation Server - Setup Build
Hi giaviv
im starting the setupbuild via team foundation build inside the AfterCompile-target
<Exec Condition="$(DoSetup)" Command=""$(ProgramFiles)\InstallAware\InstallAware 10\miabuild.exe" "C:\Visbee Setup\Visbee_eval.mpr" /o="$(DropLocation)\$(BuildNumber)\" /b=0"/>
(tfs buildservice account)
Building the setup via IDE and from commandline(copypaste from the buildlog) on buildserver is both working (my own account)
Setup-Projectfolder = local on Buildserver
Setup-Outputfolder = networkfolder
Greetings

Re: Team Foundation Server - Setup Build
Dear Florian,
Let me see if I'm getting this straight - you are saying that running the exact same command line from cmc works, but fails inside the team foundation build?

Re: Team Foundation Server - Setup Build
hi giaviv,
if you meant "cmd" instead of "cmc" then, yes, exactly!
inside the tfsbuild, the complete "Compressing data\OFFLINE\....... -section" is missing
the folders and file are completely copied there at buildtime!
but it is like they are being ignored or something
thanks for your help

Re: Team Foundation Server - Setup Build
Dear Florian,
Since the command work on cmc (or better yet, cmd) and since I am not a Team Foundation Server expert, perhaps try posting your problem on a forum of theirs?
