Installation does not translate

Post by rodrigo.onclick »

Good afternoon,

I created the project with the InstallAware 10 and located it to Portuguese (Brazil). I'm using the theme "Aero". I opted for the automatic translation tool offered by and complemented with a few more messages.

When I run the installation, the Welcome page for example, of the messages have been translated and untranslated part, as follows image below.

What other procedure should be performed to translate my whole installation?

Thanks,

Rodrigo Duarte

Dear Rodrigo,

Only the Official dialog theme is fully supported in terms of automatic translation.
In other themes (like the Aero one) you would have to check the output of the string export tool and make sure that all strings are translated properly (similar to the process you went through in translating your own messages).

Good morning,

To translate the terms of strings exported the project to the translator and then the automatic location by InstallAware. Before importing the strings back to the project, used to adjust the mTranslator.exe messages.

New image as follows, all messages for the Welcome dialog are translated, and there is no equivalent string for "Click next to continue. "

What action should I take?

Thanks,

Dear Rodrigo,

When you come to the end of the localization wizard, press the Edit Installer Messages button - see attached

I performed the steps mentioned, but all messages were also translated correctly, and found nothing to lead me the message "Click next to continue. ".

After using the option mentioned, I generated a new version of the installer and even partially translated messages, I now have the problem of a black mark of installation steps.

Following picture illustrates.

Dear Rodrigo,

I apologize, I have never encountered such a problem myself. Please try clearing your temp folder and rebuilding your installer.
If this still doesn't help, please reinstall InstallAware.

Good morning,

InstallAware reinstalled but the problem continues. How can we solve this error? Continue with the partial translation of messages and with a black stripe on the stages of installation.

The aim of this installer is the approval of our software in Windows 7 Logo Program, very important for our Company.

Another problem I encountered, now the site of installation. My application and installer are compiled / generated for x64 and when I suggested is to install the folder 'Program Files (x86) ". What would be the reason for not suggesting "Program Files"?

Thanks,

Dear Rodrigo,

Perhaps you are using unrecognized character?
Could you please send your project over to support at installaware.com?

As for your second problem, it is indeed possible to use the x64 program files directory.
Please see the Win64 Setup template to see how its done :)

Dear Rodrigo,

I re-ran the Localization Wizard on your project and that god rid of the black marks (they are probably unrecognized characters that somehow got it there). Please run the wizard again and let me know if that fixes your problem.

Dear Aviv Giladi

The only way I found to solve the problem was removing all files related to translation, exported it again and I did the translation manually.

Problem solved.
